Throughout the year we may receive donations from various people or businesses as they desire to support our organization. We offer you the opportunity now to bid on these items. The items we display will vary throughout the year. They may include services, as well as physical merchandise. We provide as accurately as we can, the physical appearance and description of the merchandise. The pictures may not be the actual items themselves, but will fairly represent the product.
If, after purchasing merchandise from our Auction, you consider the presentation and description not to have been accurate, please contact us and we will resolve the issue with you promptly.
How the Auction works:
Each of the displayed items will have its own "Bid on this item" button. Click this button if you wish to bid on that item.
If this is your first time to bid on this item, fill out the form completely. When your bid has been recorded a message with the announcement of confirmation will appear and you will also receive an email confirming that you are the High Bidder. In both these notices you will be advised of your Bidder ID# for this item.
If you have already bid on a particular item, and you remember your Bidder ID#, you may use the "Bid Again" button that will display after clicking on the "Bid on this item" button. This is a shortcut for repeat bidders.
For each item on which you bid you will receive a different Bidder ID#.
The bid you make must be at least $1 higher than the Current Bid. If this is the first bid on an item, your bid must be at least equal to the Minimum Bid.
The "clock" used by our host server is the official timer. We have no control over any discrepancy between "our clock" and your computer's clock. The time used is Mountain Time, USA.
The amount of the winning bid will include sales tax and shipping expenses. In other words, the price you see is the price you pay.
The item will be shipped to the winning bidder promptly upon receipt of full payment of the Winning Bid amount.
Payment may be made online through our website. This will bill your VISA® or Mastercard® through a third party, secure website.
Example:
Item A up for auction has a Minimum Bid of $30. The Current Bid is $0.00. Jacob wants to bid on this item. Jacob's bid must be at least $30. Jacob may bid any amount he desires. If he is willing to pay $50 for this item, he may bid $50 on his first bid. Jacob will be the only bidder that knows he has bid $50. So Jacob does submit a bid of $50. The Current Bid will then be equal to the Minimum Bid since this is the first bid on this item. Then, if Esau decides he wants to bid on this item, the Current Bid at this time will display $30 and Esau enters a bid of $30.10. He will be reminded at that time that the bid must be at least $1 higher than the Current Bid. So Esau then bids $31. He will then be advised that someone has a bid that is at least that high already. Esau enters a bid of $45. Well, Esau will be disappointed to read on his monitor that someone already has made a bid of at least that amount. (Jacob had bid $50). Esau enters a bid of $55. Then Esau is advised that he will be the High Bidder if he submits this bid. Happily he submits that bid and receives the notice (and email) that he is now the High Bidder and learns his Bidder ID#. Now the Current Bid will display as $31 since someone has increased the bid over the first bidder. If the bidding ends before anyone else bids higher, Esau will pay only $31 (the Current Bid amount) even though he was willing to pay $55.
