Parents of Preschoolers

Parents of Preschoolers FREE ADMISSION PROGRAM is intended to reach families before their children are of school age as a positive wa to expand and share the vision of home education. This is a great way to invite young families to come to the convention to learn more about parent-led, family-funded, relationship-based home education.

To participate:

  • Your oldest child must be under five years of age.
  • You must be a first-time attendee of the CHOIS Convention.
  • You must pre-register for the convention prior to May 20, 2018.

Grandparents are an important part of the homeschooling process! Grandparents are always welcome to attend the convention for free if they attend with their adult children who are registered for the convention.

Grandparents who are still homeschooling their own children must register separately and pay the admission fee.

Nursing Mothers

Nursing mothers are welcome in all of our workshops. Looking for a moment of privacy? Visit our Nursing Mothers’ Lounge, located within the Exhibit Hall.

The Best Western Plus Peppertree Nampa Civic Center Inn is offering a deeply reduced rate for convention attendees. You can book your 2018 Convention Getaway for only $100/night.

To receive the special rate, you must ask for the CHOIS Convention block and make reservations prior to May 15, 2018. For more information, click here.

Dining Options

Concessions will be available in the Johnson Sports Center. Purchasing lunches and snacks from the concession booth helps support the year-round efforts of CHOIS.

You are welcome to bring food from home. Many families pack a cooler and enjoy a picnic on the NNU campus grounds.

There are a number of fast food restaurants within driving distance of the NNU campus.

Parking on the NNU campus is free.

The convention will start and end at the Brandt Center. We recommend that you park there in the morning. During the day, the Johnson Sports Center will function as the hub of the convention. There is plenty of parking in front of the Johnson Sports Center, and you are welcome to move your vehicle between buildings during the convention.

We invite homeschooling pastors to attend the convention free of charge as a means to share the vision of home education and to build strong relationships with churches. This offer is also extended to pastors who do not teach their own children at home currently, but are interested in learning more about homeschooling. Registration by May 20, 2018 is required for free admission for pastors.

For more information on registration for homeschooling pastors, please e-mail our registration coordinator:
